Dates
[edit]@SapientSquid: hi, could you confirm the source for Taylor's date of birth in 1882/3? Lincoln College archives give her dates as 1880-1948 and link to a VIAF record. The Times reports her estate in "Wills and Bequests" on page 6 on Saturday, 6 November 1948 (via Gale). Her brother Frank is in Oxford men, 1880-1892 here and his/their father was Horatio Taylor.
There is also an Ancestry.com record which I haven't checked fully. It says Father Horatio Taylor , Mother Kitty Selina Gilbert , Birth 6 Feb 1880 Bayswater, Middlesex , Death 13 Apr 1948 Winchester.
P.S. I am glad to see you have created some more blue links for Oxford women. TSventon (talk) 18:47, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
I have now read Bogen's introduction and she says that she estimated Taylor's date of birth, so I think that the date of 1880 from Lincoln College and VIAF is probably more reliable. Probably there is more information online now than when her book was written ten years ago. TSventon (talk) 21:08, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
