I'll take a look at this shortly. Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 18:58, 13 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Prelim

[edit]
  • No duplicated links
  • Image correctly licenced
  • No edit wars
  • Earwig reports copyvio unlikely

Lede and infobox

[edit]
  • I think it would be appropriate to explicitly mention the Second World War at least somewhere
  • Was she laid down on 14 November 1936 or 3 January 1937?
  • "as they laid their minefields in the North Sea and English Channel in July" main text dates this at earliest to August
    • I missed some other stuff, but you're definitely correct about August rather than July

Design and description

[edit]
  • Why was the attempt unsuccessful?
    • Clarified
  • Move long ton link to first mention
  • Not an expert in this field, but a perusal of London Naval Treaty suggests Germany wasn't part of it?
    • You are correct, but the Kriegsmarine seems to have decided to abide by some of the restrictions in the early 1930s while the design was being finalized, but none of my sources discuss that in any significant amount of detail.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 01:37, 27 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Construction and career

[edit]
  • "In April T3" needs italics
  • Link minelayers
    • Linked in the lede
  • Do we know what the British aircraft was that sank her?
    • No, just that it was a night raid, so Bomber Command's aircraft
  • "still lacking radar and a reinforced anti-aircraft suite" This is worded like the reader should be aware this was previously an issue, but it has never been mentioned
    • Clarified
  • Where was the "Torpedo School"?
    • Not given in the sources.
  • Ramming an enemy submarine sounds like quite the feat, are there no further details?
  • "14 March 1945" repeated year
  • The coordinates currently show T3 sinking on the Hel Peninsula
    • Wouldn't that count as a near miss?

@Sturmvogel 66: Hi, that's all I have for now. Will await your responses. Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 15:52, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
