- Clen Denning was recognised as the oldest living VFL/AFL player before he died two years ago (aged 98) so any footballer born before 1911 would be deceased.[1]. According to this list, Ryan passed away on 4 October 1974. Jevansen (talk) 08:46, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
