Parentage of George Turberville
[edit]The Dictionary of National Biography and, to a lesser extent, the Encyclopaedia Britannica, confound George Turberville the poet with his nephew of the same name. Henry Turberville of Winterborne Whitechurch had three sons: Nicholas (c. 1538-80), George (c. 1540-97) and Henry. Nicholas also had three sons: Troilus (c. 1575-1609), George (c. 1578-1610) and Arundel (b. c. 1580), before he was murdered by his brother-in-law, John Morgan, in an argument over religion. Like his uncle, James Turberville, Bishop of Exeter, Nicholas was a staunch Catholic. 86.135.44.62 (talk) 13:52, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
