Hard times for Gamble later in life
[edit]A clue as to his circumstances in later life. George Gamble is listed as a "landscape gardener" in the 1939 England and Wales Register as seen via Ancestry ( https://www.ancestry.com.au/sharing/28345679?h=a1f9f4 ); the address being listed as a Central Home for Men.
