Talk:Garshunography
Lovely article
[edit]Clear, succinct and fully cited. A GA candidate in three edits. Applause. ๐๐๐ฝ (talk) 00:27, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
Rosetta stone?
[edit]Would it be appropriate to have a See also containing Rosetta Stone? (as in, is it an example of Garshunography?). ๐๐๐ฝ (talk) 11:48, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- I thought the Rosetta stone had a single text in Greek (in its native script) and in Egyptian translation (in two native scripts), no text being in a script not its own. Srnec (talk) 01:51, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
- True but the two Egyptian scripts were so separated by time as to be arguably "foreign" to each other, but that is unambiguously WP:OR territory. Never mind, it is too arcane to be worth pursuing. --๐๐๐ฝ (talk) 11:10, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
Unused sources in the Bibliography
[edit]Srnec Sources in the Bibliography that are not used in the article generate a "did you real mean this" (equivalent) error message. So in those cases, I have appended ref=none
. So if you add some new text to the article that cites an entry in the bibliography, you had best check that it doesn't have such a tag. The easier way (and generally worth doing anyway) is to get "the system" to alert you to it automatically, as described at User:Trappist the monk/HarvErrors. ๐๐๐ฝ (talk) 15:44, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
