MOS:LINEBREAKS — paragraphs on the article typically go about 500 words without a linebreak, which makes things fairly unreadable. They should not be longer than about 200-300 words.
WP:SELFSOURCE/WP:OFFTOPIC/WP:NAMEDROPS — the article focuses too much on the biographies of specific groups and needs a tighter focus on the genre as a whole. Some trivia could be maintained through use of nota bene (aka {{refn}}).
WP:CITECLUTTER — 2/3 of the article size is due to the excessive citation style. This can be mended by removing useless references that don't support the material (WP:SYNTH) and by using {{sfn}} templates for paged media.
WP:TONE — cleanup unencyclopedic phrases like "perhaps the best-remembered" / "if lucky enough" / "re-ignited the sense of excitement" / "without losing their regional distinctiveness" / "suggesting the sound of a buzzing bee"
WP:SYNTH — much of the text cannot be corroborated by sources.
