Not sure that such in-depth review of Seathrún Céitinn is necessary in the article. A sentence or two with a simple link would more than suffice. RashersTierney (talk) 15:40, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I thought this too. There's little or nothing about the school and a litany about Seathrún Céitinn. I agree with the idea of a link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.71.111.190 (talk) 10:39, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Material Removal

[edit]

Hey, just wanted to say that I just removed most of the article in my most recent edit, because most of the article was promotional/had no sources/was not clearly relevant to the school, including a conclusion section that seemed to be arguing something about public support. (Sentence fragments mean that I really don't know what it was meant to read originally.) Having done all that, the article is definitely a lot more stub-like, so I figured I should just pop in on the talk page for a second. If anybody disagrees, that's fine; we can talk about it here on my talk page. GreenLipstickLesbian (talk) 17:21, 9 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notability? Merge?

[edit]

Per WP:NSCHOOL, no school (primary or secondary) is automatically notable. This secondary school, which per the sources is one of "three different sections" of Central Technical Institute in Clonmel, doesn't seem especially large. Or the subject of material coverage in reliable/independent sources. I can't event find recent sources which deal with the Gaelcholáiste "section" as a separate entity. For example, while the 2016/2017 Whole School Evaluation report gave the Gaelcholáiste an enrollment of 121 pupils (compared to 117 in Raheen College / Coláiste Chluain Meala), this 2023/2024 Subject Inspection Report doesn't distinguish between the two and gives a combined enrollment of 263. In all honesty, I don't see why this relatively small school (effectively a "section" of a slightly larger educational institution) warrants a standalone article. Per WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES, and unless there are other thoughts, I'm inclined to be somewhat BOLD here. And merge and redirect this title to Clonmel#Secondary_schools....
