I'll get to this shortly--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 08:59, 15 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • The photo of Tonnant needs better sourcing and licensing. I suggest you see what else you can find.
    • Switched with the other in commons. PD license seems reasonable.
  • Can you add a bit more about the rationale for the ship? Perhaps Stagliano and Cosentino's The French Fleet: Ships, Strategy and operations 1870–1918 might have some useful information.
    • Thank you. That is helpful. Please check my page numbers against your copy as I am relying on a source that is unclear on pagination and the e-book on Google books does not seem to have page numbers at all. The relevant section is titled "Coastal battleships and armoured gunboats".
  • Link breastwork, superstructure, freeboard, turtle-backed, ram
    • Done
  • What is the monitor deck?
    • I am not sure. Removed.
  • You've already introduced Marchegay, no need to use his full name in the second para of the design section.
    • Removed.
  • Were the gun houses armored or just protection against the weather?
    • The sources do not list any armour so I assume not.
  • was moved to Cherbourg This implies that she did not sail there under her own power. Is this correct?
    • Reworded.
  • kg/cm3 (81 lb/cu in) This should be in kg/cm2 and psi
    • Amended.
  • Spot checks made.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 02:00, 29 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Sturmvogel 66: Thank you for another helpful review. Please check my changes and tell me if they meet the need. simongraham (talk) 18:33, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Page numbers fixed, lemme know if you need this done on any other ships that you're working on.
    • Awesome. Thank you.
  • You've got multiple conversions of 340 mm in the main body. Only need one and make sure that you're rounding consistently. Whatever's in the main body needs to match the infobox or vice versa.
    • Good point. It seems that the guns had the same bore as the thickness of the armor, so I hope I have them all now.
  • You need to explain what the /18 means.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 21:51, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
