1. Is any information out of date? Is anything missing that could be added? Yes. There is a great deal missing from the Frederick Simpson article that can be added. Very little has been written on Mr. Simpson’s Wikipedia page. On the page, there are no photos of Mr. Simpson. There is very little information regarding his life, either on his running career after becoming a professional in 1909 or on his life outside of athletics.
2. Check a few citations. Do the links work? Is there any close paraphrasing or plagiarism in the article? The links given are working. After testing links both within as well as in the citation section, I have found that all links are working. However, there is close paraphrasing between what has been written on Mr. Simpson in both articles. With the Wikipedia page nearly being a copy of the original source material.
3. Where does the information come from? Are these neutral sources? If biased, is that bias noted? The article information comes from a sports database with a bio for each athlete. This source appears neutral and due to the brevity of the article very little distracted me from the information. Since so little appears to be known of Frederick Simpson there is little bais to be noted.
