1909-1963 flag

[edit]

Hey so I recently found this source on the Internet Archiven which is a collection of flags from National Geographic from 1934 that includes the flags of the states of the US. It includes the old flag of South Dakota but with some differences, including having "wavy" rays off of the sun, a darker yellow colour, and a golden border. Is this something that would be worth adding to the image or is this simply a variant of the flag? 2604:3D09:F80:1A00:BCBB:6471:5313:2176 (talk) 20:26, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have found another source from the 1960s with the same flag appearance. 2604:3D09:F80:1A00:BCBB:6471:5313:2176 (talk) 20:41, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Funny you mention this! I am currently expanding this article. I will look into it and try to figure out if there is a way to work this into the article. Thank you, this is very useful! TCMemoire 18:53, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"Reception"

[edit]

The entire "Reception" section is rubbish. It commits the cardinal sin of treating Good Flag Bad Flag as gospel and is mostly opinion. If it were up to me, I would just remove the section (the second paragraph) altogether, but there are however indeed some very few bits of fact (that people have actual stated that they would want to change the flag). What does everyone think? WeInTheUSA (talk) 07:52, 27 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
