Flag of the Governor of Antigua and Barbuda (1956–1967)
[edit]This image is based on one source, which apart from being on the list of unreliable sources and one should be careful with their information, also simply states "No mention was made of a Union Garland for the Governor, but I include this as I believe one probably existed. Martin Grieve, 1 Febuary 2004". Without reliable sources it should not be used in any article. Swiãtopôłk (talk) 10:25, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Swiãtopôłk I have removed this file from the main article, and I hope this ends your debate.
Your hope will be fulfilled. Thanks Swiãtopôłk (talk) 10:57, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Swiãtopôłk Thank you, but I do not want this file to be deleted from Wikimedia Commons. You should understand the basic fact that Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons are different wiki projects.
That's why I didn't nominate it for removal right away. It's still possible that this flag existed, I just couldn't find any sources, and I'm good at that. Swiãtopôłk (talk) 11:13, 31 August 2024 (UTC)

- @Swiãtopôłk This Governor's flag did exist as a historical object, please see this webpage and original photo links.
That's good, now it can be added without a problem. The source is someone's blog, so if it wasn't a photo of a real flag it wouldn't be suitable. Swiãtopôłk (talk) 05:39, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
Haven't really looked into it lately, but where did you get "1956–1981" age range? The coat of arms of Antigua changed in 1967. Why would the governor who approved it use the old coat of arms for so long? More likely, the nationalist Wilfred Jacobs did not wish to use any flag that resembled the Union Jack. Besides, this flag you want to remove may not have been used in practice, but in 1869 the British Admiralty authorized colonial governors to use personal flags made to a pattern. This means that the flag existed de jure. Swiãtopôłk (talk) 11:21, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Swiãtopôłk Ok, I have now restored the post-1967 Colonial Governor Flag.

The Antiguan and Baubudian Red Ensigns during 1956 to 1967
[edit]The Antiguan and Baubudian Red Ensigns is a purely fictitious flags. The sources published by FOTW are not necessarily reliable. Therefore I recommend removing it.
