Missing information
[edit]Would sometime with more Wikipedia editing skill than I consider adding the following to this article?
1. The first sighting - the Antarctica article in Wikipedia says "[Antarctica was] unseen until 1820 when the Russian expedition of Fabian Gottlieb von Bellingshausen and Mikhail Lazarev on Vostok and Mirny sighted the Fimbul ice shelf."
2. The origin of the name, presumably from either Fimbulwinter or "fimbul" meaning "great" in Old Norse. Billfalls (talk) 06:40, 13 January 2020 (UTC)
