Premiere of Season 4
[edit]Who keeps changing the date season 4 premiered to september 14th? Because the official fetch website had an ad before it premiered saying it would preimere on sepetmber 11th right on it's home page!!! So please stop editing it back to the 14th. Just because the station that's TV schedule is a reference had it late, doesn't mean that somewhere in the country there is a station that aired it on the 11th. Anakiniman (talk) 20:50, 9 November 2009 (UTC)Anakiniman
- I know but only some stations had it the 11th. The 11th was only a sneak peek and then the season officially started on the 14th. If you look at tv.com it has it listed as the 14th. Also since some stations had there program sechedules messed up, I say lets have it say the 14th. I did get a hold of WGBH and they did say it was a sneak peek. The site just said when the season was kind of starting. Also, the episode aired omn the 11th and then reaired on the 14th with the rest of of season. Lets see what other people say about the date and we can maybe change it but for nw leave it. You seen to be the only person to have a problem with it being the 14. Toughdude (talk) 21:11, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
- September 11th was just a sneak peek. The season officially began on September 14th. But who cares?. Mokoniki | talk 21:19, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
- You guys could just meet in the middle, saying that it premiered September 11 (preview) or September 14. hidividedby5 (talk) 12:10, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

Fetch's Cancellation
[edit]I got a personal message on YouTube today, and the user claims they have contacted WGBH about it, and its statement is true. I reproduce the personal messages here: Ruffmanfan88: Since I do not know how to use movie maker, I was wondering if you could make a video about FETCH being canceled. Season 6 was going to be filmed in 2010 and auditions all ready took place but the WGBH Cancelled it. Here is some information. This is confirmed by WGBH Boston. unfortunately the 5th season of FETCH! with Ruff Ruffman will be the final season of the show. We've had a wonderful run with the show and all of us at WGBH are really proud of what we were able to accomplish. But because of lack of funding, production could not continue. We hope you'll watch the last season, which premieres in October.
fans could try to contact National Science Foundation Corporation for Public Broadcasting Chuck E Chesse's and Viewers Like You and maybe see why they don't want the show anymore or somethig.

We don't what the same thing to happen to FETCH like the hit show ZOOM. thanks Ruffmanfan88
Robdeltonie (me): Well, I have some good news. I assume you found out the news from Wikipedia. This is one of the first times where I'm in doubt on what Wikipedia says as it can be edited by anybody. It now shows the citation needed remark. I found nothing in WGBH's pressroom about it's cancellation, nor did Wikipedia's claim have any verifiable source. Most results were about the episode "Season 4 is Canceled." I will contact WGBH myself about the matter, and see if WGBH says the same thing. Thanks for your PM! ~Rico from Robdeltonie
Ruffmanfan88: Okay it was confirmed by WGBH. Here is the face book decision between Joanna and me. Here's how it all started. David Kusinski Hey can you take pics of the FETCH set being put up for the season and when do they start filming again?June 13 at 1:17pm · Mikey Salinas Yeah Can You. Once it was confirmed by WGBH I changed it on wiki to show that it was been cancelled.
Nothing was put in by WGBH in press realeses and other information. in till I asked that one question I found out. They all work at WGBH.
Thanks Rufffan88
I have no clue how to add this as a reference, but I have also already contacted WGBH. At least until futher notice, here is reference about Fetch's cancellation, and the citation needed claim is not needed. Wizoomer95 (talk) 19:05, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
- I think the cn should stay until there's something official. There's still a chance this is an elaborate spoof. Eponymous (talk) 02:21, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
- How could this be a spoof if WGBH is comfiming this from thier facebook and Ruff from his. (WGBH operated). I just know it is cancelled.Checker Fred (talk) 11:47, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
- Facebook is normally not a reliable source as anyone can create an account. However, if there is proof, and I couldn't find any, that the facebook pages are run by WGBH then facebook can be a reliable source. Emails between individuals constitute original research and can't be used as references. "I just know it is cancelled" isn't a reliable source either. The {{citation needed}} has to stay until a citation is provided. --AussieLegend (talk) 12:12, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
- Maura Tighe is CONTINUING scheduled auditions. This is not proof of Season 6, as they may be required by law to do the scheduled auditions even if they cancel it. HOWEVER, I have included a reference below[1] so that you can see the evidence for yourself.
- Also, The Internet Movie Database has 3 references of 2010 production[2][3].[4] Note: In the Internet Movie Database, seasons 1 and 2 are placed under Fetch! and seasons 3, 4, AND 5 are placed under Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman.

- First off some of the people on IMDB it says that they were with fetch intill 2010. The ones you have referenced are not part of the 2010 production season. they mean the 5th season. no where it says season 6. If it was the sixth season it would have to go to 2011. They are ahead in production years ten airing years. Also WGBH is the production company of the show. When I heard it was cancelled by Joanna Rothman, I went straight to the WGBH page. I contacted them and they said what is above. The facebook page for WGBH is operated by them and not a fake person by a few reason. First, they are advertizing all of the stuff that is going on at the station. Also they are taking pics of thier studio witch a regular person is not allowed in some of the rooms. Also WGBH edits there pages a certain times and normal business hours. I under stand that they held the casting for 2010 but when Joanna Rothman. replaid to me and I asked why they had auditions. she said Unfortunately, we weren't privy to funding information at the time of auditions. When I asked Jim (the voice of Ruff) when they were going to start production he said he didn't know. They could have decided at the last minute to cancel the show. Things also got suspicious when WGBH was putting thier FETCH car in studio G up for auction but it didn't sell. You can contact WGBH and find out and they are going to basically going to tell you the same thing. It may not be confirmed by press realse yet put it has been confirmed by the production company. It happens to all tv shows. They have been shows that it has happened to. that they got picked up for a new season and the canceled. I can't think of any examples right now.Checker Fred (talk) 14:35, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
- If you don't know already, Fetch's casting website, mauratighe.com, has been redirected to christingwyse.com. I searched Fetch on the site and only got one result. See for yourself..[5]

- Okay I sent an email to Marcy Gardner Gunther who is one of the producers of the show. Here's what I said
Is season 5 going to be the last season of the show. I got a message from Joanna Rothman and she said yes. Also I went to the WGBH and Ruff's page and they said the same thing, That it is due to the funding. Can you confirm this if it is real. Also is there to to be conformation on this with a press realse in the furtue. Also then why did you have the season 6 auditions for the season ifd ti was cancelle. So this can be confirmed for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:FETCH!_with_Ruff_Ruffman#Fetch.27s_Cancellation and the main FETCH page thanks.
This is kind of going to confirm this more, since he works with the show. once she replies I will post it here.Checker Fred (talk) 13:59, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
Okay the shows has been offically canceled now. Jim made the announcement at the Daytime Emmy award ceremony, last night. Also from his facebook (I have confimred it is his and not a fake.) Here's what he said on his status. Jim Conroy
Thanks, man. It's such an impossible task going up against Sesame Street and The Electric Company. So you have to consider the nomination as a win. Can't complain. PBS gave us 100 episodes and 5 seasons. Many good shows never saw that kind of time. Joe Bod, call me today, eh? http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/profile.php?id=1172897362&ref=ts first post inless changes by later today.
Original research
[edit]The whole discussion above is wholly inappropriate. Articles should not speculate on future events, nor should editors be adding personal research to articles. The line regarding the sixth season should be removed in its entirety until the factual status of the show's cancellation is confirmed or rebutted by a reliable secondary source. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 12:15, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- I've removed this again. Checker Fred, neither Facebook nor email conversations you claim to have had count as reliable sources. Please do not continue to edit war over this; wait until the cancellation can be cited in a reliable secondary source. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 15:13, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

new episodes
[edit]regarding this [1]
Aoi has reverted this since it has a time problem. So I fixed it by adding this [2]but it has gotton reverted again. I don't see a problem in adding the new episode section it has always been there and never has been a problem. this is when new episodes air. New episodes air Mondays through Thursdays, but specific air times vary for each individual PBS station. Monday's episode is usually repeated on Friday, unless another program has been scheduled for Friday. In some markets, the show airs on weekends. So whats the big deal into adding this. Saylaveer (talk) 13:49, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
Studio G Set
[edit]This sentence makes no sense but I haven't seen enough of the show to be able to fix it: "In Season 4 a brand new remote control Mailbox in place on the blue flat TV Screen which pops out when a challenge is in the mailbox." --Kitsunegami (talk) 22:08, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

Even if Fetch! is not there anymore...
[edit]Even if Fetch! had their final season, kids can still learn from it. But if they take Fetch! off the air, no matter if it's because they just want to throw it out, or if they know it's cancelled so they can, I would protest it. Not only that there'd be one less educational show, but gradually if this "cancel-the-educational-show-mania" keeps going, America's kids will gradually get dumber, right? No education=not smart.
