National agency versus federal agency

[edit]

I understand that Austria is a federation. Because the Bundespolizei has been constituted by the Austrian Federal Government, the Bundespolizei is a federal law enforcement agency. However, this agency by federal law is the one police force for the whole of the nation of Austria. Therefore the Bundespolizei is also a national law enforcement agency, that is it is a national police force.

Is my understanding correct?

it's unique, but i would stick with just federal because it's more like federal police than the french or spanish national police.ninety:one 14:01, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Porsche 911

[edit]

Is there a citation for this? As I know there was only one Porsche given by Porsche Austria as a marketing campaign for six months. The 911 would be way too expensive. The police on the Autobahn uses Sedans with strong engines to hunt speeding cars - way cheaper than Porsche. Furthermore there are no big car chases, because it is too dangerous.

http://wiev1.orf.at/stories/148808 - here is mentioned, that it was not enoough room AND (what is more important) too expensive. Source: austrian state tv (ORF) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.104.81.206 (talk) 17:20, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
