Shot and wounded by Maher al–Assad?

The Telegraph claims that Maher al–Assad, brother of Syrian president Assad shot and wounded Farouq al–Sharaa in 2011. If there is any truth to this, it should be reflected in this article.

Personal life

"Farouk al-Sharaa Returns to the Forefront of Syrian Politics" in The Syrian Observer giving its source as SHAAM NETWORK includes that he isn't related to Hussein al-Sharaa, the father of Ahmed Hussein al-Sharaa. Mcljlm (talk) 23:13, 24 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
