"Wilford swore he's gone straight!"

[edit]

Something tells me that little quote was purely put in as a gay joke. I'm thinking it should be removed, unless anyone disagrees. --Foot Dragoon 06:05, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removed from the Fictional Encyclopedias category

[edit]

This book is not an Encyclopedias, Encyclopedias is just the character's nickname. Anyone looking for info's on encyclopedias will not want this article. meshach 07:52, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Namesake?

[edit]

Is there any documented link between Encyclopedia Brown and the priest-detective, Father Brown? Or are their last names merely a coincidence? David Bergan (talk) 07:28, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Juvenile Series category

[edit]

Why is Encyclopedia Brown listed under the 'B's on the Juvenile Series category page? It seems a bit confusing to me. --68.63.214.127 (talk) 04:59, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Revision- April 2009

[edit]

I have done some major edits on this page, removing several paragraphs that I found to give unnecessary or badly formed information. This article also badly needs some citations, as well as a probable rewrite of some of the information I cut. I moved much of the information into the style section, and created a legacy section for some of the other misc. information. An introductory paragraph explaining Encyclopedia's name might prove useful. Mmoople (talk) 09:10, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Say 'Hello' To My Little Friend

[edit]

Encyclopedia Brown had a friend named Sally Kimball. She isn't even mentioned in this article. I actually came here looking for her last name. Someone please add some info about her.--174.70.113.210 (talk) 15:40, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Idaville mystery

[edit]

One of my mysteries was where Buddy Claggett stole a time capsule out of the Idamay statue but, it turned out to be just a rose.before we figured out to turn the statue to the East, we almost gave up :(. By the time we turned the statue, in the bottom of where the stolen capsule was placed, the bottom opened and revealed the real rose. It was covered in diamonds and made out of emeralds. It was beautiful. Idamay was known for planting a rose in the battlefields and stopping the war. Everyone says she's a hero for doing that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.107.166.231 (talk) 21:40, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mrs. Brown?

[edit]

Why does Mrs. Brown have a link to it? The article it goes to doesn't make any sense with Encyclopedia Brown.Earboxer (talk) 13:27, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Images!

[edit]

This article needs images to illustrate it. I will go check if there are any Encyclopedia Brown books in the Commons.

There are no images in the Commons about "Encyclopedia Brown". I reccomend someone ere with close relations with the Commons (unlike myself) can go there and upload any Encyclopedia Brown pictures.
