Moberly's most famous women
[edit]I'm not arguing the point, but in 1942, the population of Moberly was only about 13,000. Also, this was a one time quote by one reporter for the Globe (later requoted by the local Moberly paper). And it's behind a paywall, who was the other famous woman? Bkatcher (talk) 05:38, 28 April 2024 (UTC) of Moberly, MO.
- @Bkatcher, FYI, You can access all of the sources I used via the Wikipedia Library. By the way, the other woman was "Mrs. Edmund (Lora) Burke, songwriter and composer." Edit: I've rewritten the lead. X (talk) 09:44, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. I live in Moberly. Right now, the most famous resident is the guy who robbed the gas station with a pair of underwear on his face. Bkatcher (talk) 12:29, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Bkatcher, Wow! That's fascinating to know you're from there. [And thank you for your edits to the pages I made recently.] IDKWTS about the latter part, but it sure made me chuckle real hard. At the same time, it's kinda sad. It's not much better where I'm living rn, Dhaka. I'll be moving to Madison next year. It'd be a shame if the robbers don't have a better fashion sense there. - Thanks for all the great articles you've written and added to. I've been to Madison (I assume Wisconsin). It's a good town. Be sure to check out The House on the Rock. Totally worth it. Bkatcher (talk) 12:23, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
