@Snarcky1996: you've twice edited to say that the amendment is in force; the second time you reverted me on the basis that I haven't provided a source. To the contrary: I can't provide a source to prove a negative, the burden is on you to show a source that says it is in force. The amendment itself says: "This Act [...] comes into operation on a date fixed by the President by proclamation in the Gazette." If the President had made such a proclamation, it would be very easy to point to a copy of it from https://www.gov.za/documents/notices or elsewhere.

As it happens I have checked this on the LexisNexis legislation database which confirms that the amendment is still pending, but I don't think I can use that as a Wikipedia source since it's a paywalled service. The copies of the Constitution on the main government website [1] and the Department of Justice website [2] also don't include the changes made by this amendment. - htonl (talk) 12:56, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
