Fair use rationale for Image:Verger Dad's Army.JPG
[edit]Image:Verger Dad's Army.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 02:40, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Factual accuracy
[edit]The article cites a career in the early 1930s when the subject was only 14 or 15; it is known that this Edward Sinclair started his acting career later in life so these cites are clearly referring to an earlier actor of the same name. Jack1956 (talk) 00:24, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
Career
[edit]On IMDB he is, rightly or wrongly, credited with films in the 1940s as well as the one in 1931 (when he would have been 16 or 17) https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0801608/filmotype/actor?ref_=m_nmfm_1 Count Malvolio (talk) 02:00, 25 February 2019 (UTC)

โ No primary topic, I suggest. Much though I like Dad's Army, the actor does not appear to have done a great deal of note apart from this, the swimmer has comparable notability. PatGallacher (talk) 13:28, 5 November 2023 (UTC)
- Support per nomination. There are three men listed upon the Edward Sinclair (disambiguation) page, with no indication that the seven-sentence stub delineating the English actor represents a figure of such renown that it dwarfs the combined notability of Edward Sinclair (cricketer) and Edward Sinclair (swimmer). โRoman Spinner (talk โข contribs) 00:29, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
