Photography template deletions
[edit]I've deleted the two photography-related templates (photo stub on the article and WP History of Photography template here) because the ECN development process is exclusively used for motion picture film technology, and thus would be outside of the HoP project scope - at least as far as I'm interpreting it...otherwise we have a bit of a discussion that needs to be done regarding project overlap limitations. As it is a photographic process, and, as such, cinematography is considered a branch of photography, I feel this section should not be isolated from the others.
CD4
[edit]Does ECN-2 use CD-4 like C-41 does? Gah4 (talk) 05:38, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
- Normally it uses CD-3, but you can use CD-4 and other C-41 chemicals (as long as you remove the remjet layer), although doing so is considered cross processing. Most C-41 labs can't process ECN-2 film and it will damage automatic processing machines if the remjet layer is not completely removed. 2603:6081:8401:111:7D84:39E1:9D08:745A (talk) 12:29, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
- I did it once at home using a C-41 kit, and it came out fine. The rem-jet rubs of easily in the final rinse. The actual reason for the question was to add it to Color Developing Agent 3 or Color Developing Agent 4. Gah4 (talk) 00:45, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
