Notable?

A lovely chap and clearly a very sad story. Is he notable though? Sorry, but even as a Doctor Who fan, I'm not convinced he is. Andrew Oakley (talk) 16:21, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

WP:NACTOR says an actor is notable if "[t]he person has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions." McLinden performed in multiple West End stage shows and was the lead in the feature film Just Ask for Diamond and its television sequel The Diamond Brothers: South by South East.

Additionally, per the basic notability guideline, McLinden had a detailed obituary in the Independent, an article in the Telegraph about his life and how he inspired the character of Ritchie in It's A Sin, a documentary about him on the Doctor Who: The Collection — Season 25 Blu-ray box set, and he features prominently in Jill Nalder's memoir Love From the Pink Palace. I think that qualifies as "multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject."
