Acquia

I'd like to suggest that the section on Acquia be moved and/or rewritten. It is currently listed under the "Distributions" section, but that doesn't really make sense (I think it belongs under a separate section on Drupal-based companies in which other companies besides Acquia could also be mentioned). The main reason for this, though, is that as of about a month ago, Acquia's paid offerings (tech support and network services) are not coupled in any way to a particular Drupal distribution (see, e.g., http://buytaert.net/acquia-supports-everything-drupal-6 and http://acquia.com/blog/supporting-customers-not-just-modules). In addition, the text in the article which says "subscriptions include one or more Drupal distributions" is not accurate and never has been. (Acquia Drupal is the only distribution Acquia currently has, and it is GPL and available for free to anyone, regardless of whether they have a subscription or not.)

Since I work for Acquia, I didn't think it would be particularly appropriate for me to make this change, and I thought it would be best to discuss it here anyway... I'm not sure how one would decide which Drupal companies are or aren't notable enough to get mentioned in a Wikipedia article, but I think there are definitely others besides Acquia. June & August 2008 tagging concerns

Could someone please update with specifics what the "Third Party references" and "readability" concerns are. I though I might help resolve these, but they look as if they are resolved already. If that's the case, I'll remove the banners at the top of the article. Otherwise, I'd like to help fix the problems to which they refer. Thanks! T L Miles (talk) 19:50, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

I like to take part in this discussion... Thanks you very much..
