Apparently, Don is no longer with IBM. From the IBM Ponder This site:
Don Coppersmith has moved on from IBM to pursue other interests. He has enjoyed the interaction with the readers over the years. The new puzzlemaster will be James Shearer.
Is Don Coppersmith still alive? Sorry for the macabre query, but I was sure I'd read that he had passed from pancreatic cancer some years ago. The current Wiki article (as well as other online sources I've checked) seems to imply he's still with us. If so, I'd surely like to know, him being a classmate (MIT '72) and all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8801:8502:B500:89E0:5C2D:14B2:736D (talk) 11:38, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
Oded Margalit is the puzzle master for the Ponder This site now; following from
http://domino.research.ibm.com/Comm/wwwr_ponder.nsf/pages/index.html
The current puzzlemaster is Oded Margalit. He took over from James B. Shearer, who took over from the original puzzlemaster Don coppersmith, in October 2005.
