[edit]Contemporary sources that call him Doc include The Times 20 April 1929 (article by someone who watched 1882 FA Cup Final) ("Doc" Greenwood of Blackburn Rovers) and various editions of the Blackburn Standard. e.g. 20 Jan 1894 (article on the history of Blackburn Rovers: 'The five Rovers players were Doc.
