Chapter Conducting Career:
The following cannot be correct: "In 1980, he appeared with National Symphony Orchestra (and a marimba band) at Zimbabwe's independence celebrations, performing [...] Ludwig van Beethoven's Ninth and Tenth symphonies". Beethoven's Tenth was not completed during the composer's lifetime. The first movement was newly composed by Barry Cooper after Beethoven's sketches in the 1980s and first recorded in 1988, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symphony_No._10_(Beethoven/Cooper). The printed score was published only in 2013. So, how could Hudson have performed the piece as early as 1980? 88.77.28.193 (talk) 08:22, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
