Why aren't any of the highly publicized wrongdoings of Dennis Tyler listed on this page?
[edit]Dennis Tyler is a disgrace to Muncie. Why aren't any of the many negative things he has done listed here? Rkischuk93 (talk) 22:27, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Rkischuk93: WP:BLP has some bars that you haven't been clearing. First, you need to cite independent reliable sources. Second, we tend not to include information about allegations and charges against individuals, although this can vary according to the level of coverage that they have gotten. —C.Fred (talk) 23:24, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
@c.fred please read one of the many articles from The Star Press, a member of the USA Today Network, about this man. I even cited those articles in my last posts. People of Muncie deserve for this page to be accurate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rkischuk93 (talk • contribs) 00:49, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
- We owe a higher duty to Tyler to get it right than we do to the people of Muncie. Besides, Wikipedia is not a news service; it's an encyclopedia. —C.Fred (talk) 00:51, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
- On reviewing the sources, Tyler is not directly named in the FBI probe in one article,[1] and the other focuses on actions by and charges against Nichols, not Tyler.[2] It's pretty clear that, per BLP, nothing should go in this article. —C.Fred (talk) 00:53, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
Nichols was a direct appointee of Tyler. So could it be added that, "an appointee of Dennis Tyler has been arrested on 33 felony charges all of which occurred during Tyler's time in office." Rkischuk93 (talk) 17:56, 30 April 2018 (UTC)
