Requested move 20 April 2023

The result of the move request was: moved to David Webber (computer scientist). DAB moved as proposed. (closed by non-admin page mover) – MaterialWorks 15:45, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
– I recently created David Webber (basketball). I then noticed that there were two David Webbers in the see also section of David Weber (disambiguation) (one "b"). I noticed that Mortimer Plumtree (stagename of a David Webber) was relevant to this topic and added him and (basketball) to the single-"b" see also section. Then, I decided that the double-"b" should have a separate dab, which I created at (disambiguation). Then, after some time spent with pageviews, it became clear that David Webber is not primary. I am here because it is not clear to me whether the proper destination for David Webber is David Webber (scientist), David Webber (computer scientist) or David Webber (information technologist). The former is the most concise, the middle is an actual category from his page, the latter is the referent from the opening sentence of his WP:LEAD. I would like feedback on the proper distination for him.- TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 15:29, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- Move to David Webber (computer scientist): As far as I know, this is the usual term for his profession. — BarrelProof (talk) 17:32, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- Support per nomination regarding absence of primary topic for David Webber (disambiguation) and per nomination and BarrelProof regarding David Webber → David Webber (computer scientist) as confirmed by entries under Category:American computer scientists. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 21:09, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- Support the baseball player has 178 views and David H. Webber has 113 compared with only 58[[1]] for the scientist. Crouch, Swale (talk) 19:53, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
- Support per nom, with whatever disambiguator comes out of consensus.--Ortizesp (talk) 06:38, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose “(scientist)”. Not described as a scientist. Not particularly impressive metrics as a scientist. The article describes him as a “technologist”. Support “David Webber (computer scientist) as the usual description for such a person. —SmokeyJoe (talk) 02:16, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
- Support David Webber (computer scientist). We usually try to avoid "scientist" as being too generic. But no primary topic here. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:39, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
