How this article has got much worse
[edit]Within this series of edits (14 January 2016), South Africa Sunset Beach Telkom Sa Ltd customer 105.229.196.147 (contributions) removed virtually all the references from the article. Many of these dated from the very first version of the article (by Richardwilding.
When I arrived at the article a little earlier today, it had just two "references" (one of them used twice). I put "references" in scare quotes because in none of the three places did the "reference" provide evidence for what was being asserted. These "references" were worthless, and I therefore removed them.
The article is now totally unreferenced, and therefore merits deletion. The man deserves an article, but nobody deserves an unreferenced pile of assertions. -- Hoary (talk) 14:40, 1 August 2016 (UTC)
- Having slept on the matter, I've put the article back to the state it was in immediately before 14 January, and made a few minor changes to the result.
- I did look for the new book that the bloated version of the article claimed Lurie had in the works, but neither in Fourthwall's website or anywhere else could I find evidence that it existed or even that its publication was impending.
- Other editors are of course very welcome to add reliably sourced information to the article. -- Hoary (talk) 23:09, 1 August 2016 (UTC)
