Has this guy done anything notable other than briefly express his provocative opinions a few times ? He may have some claim to expertise, but perhaps not more than thousands of others in the field.

bugged coins

Upon reading the source for this claim it is clear that the paragraph was a drastic misrepresentation of events. In contrast to what was stated, it appears that coins were bugged and someone simply asked for Harris’s opinion. People criticised the coins themselves not Harris’s statements about them.
