Giammatteo source
[edit]This claim:
- for one year before dropping out initially to support his family by working at a bank
is cited to "Uneducated" by Giacomo Giammatteo. I looked it up, and it's literally a one-liner in a long list at the end of the book. Here's the complete information on Marcus:
- David Marcus, founder of mobile payment company Zong, CEO of PayPal. He dropped out of the University of Geneva to work at a bank to help support his family.
There's no sourcing information, no detail, no provenance for this information. Is there any better source for the claim? - David Gerard (talk) 12:02, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
- OK, this might be better, at least it's Marcus saying it - David Gerard (talk) 20:38, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
Marcus has finally gone public with the Libra/Diem story : How Libra Was Killed
[edit]Marcus published a personal note going public with the story of the building, years of regulatory compliance modifications, then the political killing of Diem from top US officials and the captured banking system. How Libra Was Killed, David Marcus, self-published on Twitter/X, 29 November 2024. As this is self-published, we won't use it to improve the article just yet, but we can expect multiple secondary source articles will be covering the topic in the coming weeks.
