WTF J-Hood

[edit]

WTF J-Hood left D-Block like yesteryear.

Why were these articles merged, with only a short paragraph mentioning the Lox? The previous page included their history and origins. The Lox and D-Block are 2 entirely seperate entities. There should be more focus on the Lox, since they were the original group that Biggie and Puff had taken under their wing. J-Hood is not the only difference between the two groups. D-Block was formed before J-Hood was even in the group. D-Block signifies their modern presence as an expanding group and a record label, whereas the Lox was the original, nitty-gritty, old school group that solely consisted of Styles P, Sheek Louch, and Jadakiss. To further illustrate the difference, there has been much talk of a soon-to-be released Lox cd. If they had merely changed the groups name, the cd would be released under the group name D-Block, as has been done thousands of times on mixtapes. 68.198.130.84 09:30, 18 February 2007 (UTC) spin[reply]

Bully disambiguation

[edit]

This page links to Bully in a few places, which is a disambiguation page. I don't see an appropriate article to link to, however. Can somebody make a stub (or a whole article) for this Bully, fix the link in this page, and add it to the Bully (disambiguation) page? --Merkuri 22:46, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Styles and D-Block beef somewhat unresolved

[edit]

Edited the final sentence of the Beefs section where it was stated Styles P and 50 Cent had made peace during the Hot 97 Angie Martinez Radio Show. The conversation went awkwardly and finished somewhat unresolved with neither rapper really conceding anything or definitively "squashing" any beef. Though to be certain both seemed to have tried initially, the feelings of most listeners I've read/spoken with is that nothing productive came from the conversation (which can be found at YouTube with keyword searches for Hot 97 or Styles P and 50 Cent). albums?

[edit]

It is quite odd that this article mentions all the individual albums the group member have done but doesn't mention either of their 2 albums as the lox.68.164.85.143 (talk) 06:12, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

extreme bias on mainstream career section

I agree. From the article: "To a Hip-Hop public tired of all the flossing and commercialism which was dominating the art form, the struggle to release rap's most important trio symbolized an effort to purify the music. To return Hip-Hop back to its essence as an important form of urban expression. The streets spoke up loud and clear and the Lox were finally released to a heroes welcome." Does that sound impartial in any way? Not to me. Metalb (talk) 00:18, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Split?

[edit]

Okay... I propose a split for the following reasons. The LOX is a group consisting of Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch and D-Block is a rap group consisting of 11-12 members . Originally the group renamed themselves to D-Block, but with the upcoming D-Block compilation album coming up and that album introducing the new D-Block members. I think a split should be in order because the original members are relasing an album under the name New L.O.X. Order and also because it feels like D-Block is becoming a seperate group with The LOX as members. Diccuss. --Taylor Karras (talk) 14:52, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
