At a set frequency?
[edit]How important is the "at a set frequency" part of the definition? Arduino for example, typically loops at a "as fast as possible" variable frequency (assuming that you write the program in such a way that some of the tasks take a variable amount of time), but it is clearly a cyclic executive. --Guy Macon (talk) 21:59, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
