I will be picking up the review of this one - both for the Wiki Cup and the GA cup as well. I will be making my review comments over the next couple of days.

Side note, I would love some input on a Featured List candidate (Mexican National Light Heavyweight Championship) and a Featured Article candidate (CMLL World Heavyweight Championship). I am not asking for Quid pro Quo, but all help is appreciated.  MPJ-US  21:34, 1 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I am actually Danish by birth and know Norwegian well enough to actually read the norwegian language references, so that will help ensure the sources are appropriate for what they're supposed to source.

[edit]

I like to get this checked out first, I have found issues using this that has led to quick fails so it's important this passes muster.

Peer review tool
  • WP:LEAD - too short, should be three-four paragraphs long.
Expanded. Note that WP:LEAD does not specify length, only that it be appropriate to the size of the article and not more than four paragraphs. User:HopsonRoad 02:09, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section#Length does indeed have a breakdown of length to lead size. Article this size should be 3-4 paragraphs. MPJ-US  04:18, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
And you hit that mark, excellent Green tickY

Well Written

[edit]

I fixed the following, with the exception of "blood booster" (see note below). User:HopsonRoad 22:32, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • I believe "free-style" is actually Green tickY"freestyle"
  • "until then, when Mathias Zdarsky" Green tickYdoes not need the comma
  • "cross country-skiing" should of course be Green tickY"cross-country skiing"
  • "at least one of which is from" shoud probably be Green tickY"at least one of which has to be on"
  • "increased by adding kick" - it feels like it's Green tickYmissing something either "a kick" or "kicking"?
Rewrote sentence for clarity. User:HopsonRoad 22:37, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Typo "terminiogy" should be Green tickY"terminology"
  • "snowplough" should be Green tickY"snowplow"
Name of article is Snowplough turn—should probably be renamed in NA English. User:HopsonRoad 22:37, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • "blood booster" should be Red XN"blood-booster"
"Blood booster" is what shows in Google, when searching for "blood-booster." Also Merriam-Webster shows "blood booster." User:HopsonRoad 22:32, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Well who am I to argue with that ;-) MPJ-US  01:26, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sources/verifiable

[edit]
  • Some sources use the format "2012-02-02" and others have "July 3, 2014" pick one consistent format please.
Done. User:HopsonRoad 02:14, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • The rest I will check as I read through the article to check that it covers what is in the text when I can.
