Screamed?
[edit]A bit extreme to say that Chester screams the chorus... changing that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tomozaurus (talk • contribs) 03:26, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Crawling is Nu Metal.
[edit]H ell, all of Hybrid Theory was ... changing.

Its not nu-metal
[edit]its hard rock for heaven's sake. The song won a grammy for the best hard rock song. So how come you consider it nu-metal. Plus mike doesnt rap on the song. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeff bill (talk • contribs) 07:54, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Er, it is nu-metal. It can be mistaken for hard rock very easily though... 70.119.54.117 (talk) 15:18, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
Ummm....yeah....I'm not sure what you're talking about Mike definitely raps, he says "without a sense of confidence and I'm convinced that there's just too much pressure to take". It's definitely Nu Metal. 139.147.89.124 (talk) 06:26, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
Song information??
[edit]Wheres the source that specifies Crawling is about a mental illness? Chester never said anything about the true meaning of their song, also I though the song was about drug addiction... --Realxsalo (talk) 15:25, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
Alternative rock or alternative metal?
[edit]First off, this song is definetly nu metal, but it has some alternative elements into it also. I can't really tell is it alternative rock or alternative metal, because the song is pretty much nu metal with some elements of alternative. It has quiet parts but it's really heavy, so I believe it's more alternative metal than alternative rock. Still, I'll just add alternative metal, I won't erase alternative rock. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.138.116.85 (talk) 20:48, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
Morgellons?
[edit]I find it surprising that nothing has been said in the article about Morgellons disease... It seemed obvious to me from the first time I heard it that this song is referring to Morgellons, which is "characterized by a range of cutaneous (skin) symptoms including crawling, biting, and stinging sensations; finding fibers on or under the skin; and persistent skin lesions (e.g., rashes or sores)", which lines up nicely with the lyric "Crawling in my skin / These wounds they will not heal". The lyric "confusing what is real" lines up with "Most doctors ... regard Morgellons as a manifestation of known medical conditions, including delusional parasitosis." Sadly, nothing the article confirms my suspicions. Does anyone know if my idea is correct? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.192.237.160 (talk) 14:15, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
"real meaning"?
[edit]the article says something about the 'real meaning of the song'. it doesn't mention what the real meaning is, though. this part should be edited or removed... does anybody know about the real meaning? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.201.157.237 (talk) 22:30, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
