An interesting article, but one glaring error

The article states that West Virginia achieved statehood after the end of the Civil War, but this is not correct. West Virginia joined the Union on June 20, 1863, less than two weeks prior to the Battle of Gettysburg. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.233.113.215 (talk) 05:30, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
