Carcasses
[edit]I reckon this page could really do with a picture of the great displays of dead animals the butchers put on before Christmas -- ideally a vast number of turkeys and geese and a mix of feathered and furred game (with a deer/boar or two). Anyone got one/know of one? There are several on Flickr e.g. [1] and [2]) but with creative commons noncommercial licenses which aren't "free" for wiki purposes.... Move?
[edit]- The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
No consensus to move. I decided to not change the redirect. I think that if someone wants to create a valid dab page it should go at the main name space based on the comments below. Vegaswikian (talk) 00:16, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
Covered Market, Oxford → Covered Market —
- No need to have "Oxford" in the title, as the name of the market is simply the "Covered Market" SethWhales talk 20:10, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- Comment Not so sure about this one. Covered market and Covered Market are so widely used that I'm not sure, despite the fact we have no other articles with those names, that this move will help readers find what they want. May be better to redirect both those terms to Market house, and leave Covered Market, Oxford just where it is. Skinsmoke (talk) 20:42, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose. To most people a Covered Market is a covered market, and there are many covered markets. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 20:50, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose per Anthony Appleyard, and I live in Oxford - Covered Market probably should be a disambiguation page or something. -- Eraserhead1 <talk> 13:21, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
