Theme Song
[edit]Should the theme song, end theme, and shortened end theme be added?
Copyright.
To Nanny, she refers to the slinged arm as "me bad arm" and let's things fall, when she hold's them in it. New Babylon
///In episode 11, season 3 - it is made clear that Igor is a Vampire. When he replaces the non vampire bat with a vampire bat he says 'And soon he too will be a vampire like me<insert laughter>". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.198.5.186 (talk) 13:27, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
He actually says 'He like thee will be a vampire'. Igorth is quite likely to be a seperate character from Igor anyway, but it isn't made explicitly clear, probably on purpose. Igor himself is NOT a vampire despite apparently enjoying blood. Granitoons (talk) 15:28, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
///Slight problem with the above, in the episode "Ghostly Gold" in the bar scene Nanny and Igor can both be seen clearly in the mirror's reflection whilst the ghost and Duckula can not. It is explained that Duckula can not be seen as he is a vampire.92.237.4.111 (talk) 19:30, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Igor
[edit]But on a note to Igor,in "In the Arctic cirles" ,when he's firred,he sob's "dismised, after seven and a half centuries of faithfull servitude". New Babylon
- Currently, the page says that Igor's age is uncertain. That may be, but his time of service is not. One of the last episodes of season one gives an exact number (seven hundred forty-something? I think it's the one where Duckula tries to make money by having Igor and Nanny work somewhere else). Also, in the family reunion episode, he states that this will be his eighth family reunion, not that he's been around for eight hundred years. That is consistent with a length of time between seven and eight hundred years. Mrkwcz (talk) 19:48, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- But wait, he said that he has been to 8 of the vampires reunions that happen every cenutry, meaning he has to be over 800 years old. -Golem866 (talk) 16:53, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
- If that's his eighth, he's been to seven previous ones, i.e. his first was seven hundred years ago. Which is consistent with seven hundred and fifty years of service. We don't know how old he was when he first came to work for the Duckulas, though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.135.40.178 (talk) 09:45, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
Series
[edit]Can someone confirm that the 'third' series (at least in DVD release) is actually third+fourth..? i.e. The lead section says that three series have been released in the UK, "meaning all 65 episodes" whereas everywhere else says that the 65 episodes equate to four series.
A relatively minor point, but an important clarification to make. ntnon (talk) 17:19, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
6 episodes including "Manhattan duck "A mountie always gets his duck" and "Venice a duck not a duck" were transmitted in the uk in 1993 completely seperately to the rest of the run. I belive this is down to them being left over after Thames Television lost their franchise at the end of 1992. These episodes can be classed as "Series 4" or as the rest of "Series 3"

Racism.
[edit]There should be a little remark about all the racist-joke stereotype characters from Austria, Russia, China, & France. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.19.236.142 (talk) 01:03, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Stereotypes =/= racism. Granitoons (talk) 15:27, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
Nick
[edit]What does this have do with Nickelodeon? -Golem866 (talk)
Well, the Nickelodeon logo has sometimes appeared in end credits for the show. Just look for YouTube videos with logos from Cosgrove Hall, Nickelodeon, and Thames Television or “Colour Productions.” Cbsteffen (talk) 23:58, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
Airing history
[edit]I was thinking, shouldn't the list be in an alphabetical order? I might even be better to have the UK at the top, since the show is originally from there, and the rest of the countries in an alphabetical order. - Siggi31 (talk) 22:19, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
Time in Count Duckula
[edit]Hi there. I've amended the main article to put the full standard description of time as given by Igor "Eastern transylvanian standard time" and also to make reference to the alternative description as given by Igor in the episode "Private Beak"- "Eastern standard transylvanian time".This can clearly be heard in the episode. I don't know if it was a mistake which wasn't noticed during recording or editing. But it's definitely the line as delivered. (NuNkLeNaGgEr3472 (talk) 20:01, 5 February 2011 (UTC))
Usually he says the former, but the latter still makes grammatical sense. Granitoons (talk) 15:25, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
Are the Air Dates Correct?
[edit]I distinctly remember watching this show while living in San Francisco. I am pretty sure I was in the first grade. That would have made it about 1986. Try as I might though, every internet search turns up 1988. Does anyone else feel the way I do? Or am I just going crazy? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.158.178.102 (talk) 05:04, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
Someone seems to have reorganised the last 3rd of series one's airdates for some reason. Granitoons (talk) 15:26, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
Central Television
[edit]Can anyone give any vitiation that Duckula was co-produced by Central TV please? Last time I checked there was no mention of it all on the episodes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.5.90.205 (talk) 16:35, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
- To be made CLEAR: Central TV had Nothing do with the creation or production of this series, it was just a holding company to allow it to be broadcast on the ITV network. --Crazyseiko (talk) 16:57, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
The state of this page
[edit]Just like Dangermouse, How on earth did this page get so poor? Its over detailed in some section yet there is NO History. This page is not good enough. --Crazyseiko (talk) 16:59, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
