The Cast of CollegeHumor

[edit]

Should there be a section or a page with a list of the CollegeHumor cast? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.228.147.122 (talk) 19:38, August 8, 2011‎

Splitting Proposal for The Drawfee Show

[edit]

The Drawfee Show was sold to some of the former cast members of College Humour, and has been fully independent for just over two years

So it really shouldn't be on the page anymore 2A01:4B00:E20C:6A00:91B4:A8C8:9A86:6CA7 (talk) 09:57, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

In the historical context, Drawfee started with College Humor and was made in CH offices for years, but I'm surprised there isn't a separate page for it. The fact that "Drawfee" redirects here, with only the briefest of mentions on the page, could stand correction. I'll start looking for good sources to support a separate article for it. The Drawfee fan wikia currently has 441 pages but is short on references outside the show. https://drawfee.fandom.com/wiki/Drawfee_Wiki We would need to improve on that here. ok i was trying to drop the decent sources i found (14 links) here if anyone is interested. Not sure when i'd make an afternoon of writing an independent article for Drawfee, redirecting Drawfee Show too. It wouldn't be a stub with plenty to cite in describing the program/hosts/etc. JimsMaher (talk) 07:28, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that Drawfee should have a separate page since it has a large identity outside of the CH family nowadays. If you still have those sources I would be up for writing the new article. I’ve worked on the drawfee.fandom.com for years now. Wikipedria Editor (talk) 13:13, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's not going to win a Pulitzer, but I've started something on my sandbox page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Snowman304/sandbox @JimsMaher Snowman304|talk 07:11, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 4 January 2025

[edit]

CollegeHumorDropout (media company) – The company rebranded a while ago so this name is more accurate. The company is also now more widely known as Dropout. For context, if this move is successful I plan on merging Dropout (streaming service) into this article per WP:OVERLAP. – Anne drew (talk · contribs) 05:13, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose: Per the previous discussions about this, I'm still in favor of keeping the two articles separate and keeping this one focused on the pre-Dropout era. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 06:47, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for those links. While there wasn't consensus to merge back then, consensus can change. I'll make a few arguments in favor of merging these articles:
  1. The company has now fully rebranded and is commonly referred to as Dropout. The discussions you linked are a couple years old at this point, and happened while the rebrand to Dropout was still ongoing. The company has now completed the rebrand, and recent news coverage of the company strongly favors the name "Dropout".[1][2]
  2. The OVERLAP criteria to merge the articles is met, and as a corollary, the CONSPLIT criteria to split the topic is not met. There's no reason we need to split the topic up into two articles like this. The articles overlap heavily, with both pages discussing history of the company and its cast members. For the same reason we don't split Patreon into two articles for the company and the streaming platform, this topic should also not be split up: the topics are semi-duplicative. We also don't split up articles following a rebrand or restructuring: thus far there has been no consensus to split the much longer Twitter article into an additional X (social media) article.
  3. The SIZESPLIT criteria to split the topic is not met. I believe the unique content in Dropout (streaming service) can be brought over here while keeping this article well within the size limits suggested by WP:SIZERULE. The content is largely the same, with the only major difference being the list of Dropout shows in Dropout (streaming service).
Therefore, due to topic overlap and content length reasons, I think it makes the most sense to combine the two articles.– Anne drew (talk · contribs) 17:26, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
