Wholehartleymed Peer Review: Your Lead is very concise and has good detail. I would maybe add a sentence about the different types of colectomy and something about complications. This way, the Lead is a little bit better of a summary for the whole page.

In terms of content, I found your article very easy to read. It was also a good balance of detail without overwhelming the person with too many jargon words. The organization of the information made sense and progressed well, and it struck the right tone and balance.

For the different types section, you could maybe add a section or under each type, like which ones are indicated for what type of conditions, but just briefly. You could also add if there are certain complications for each or discuss how the surgical approaches are different for each. Maybe a little more information here would make it feel a little more complete.

Your images are good. They are relevant and help explain the different procedures. You could add a section on different surgical instruments used, maybe with images. However, I think this would be a bonus and maybe not totally necessary. It would make the article more surgical-like and be an interesting way to add more images.
