Jiangsu Classic

[edit]

If you count the Jiangsu Classic to the 'Classic' category of tournaments, then how come there is a separate link to the Jiangsu Classic in the Snooker Infobox to the right, which leads to an article that isn't written yet? /83.248.176.221 (talk) 18:50, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the Jiangsu Classic from this article. Jiangsu Classic doesn't have anything to do with the Mercantile Credit Classic, but the name. If we were to include all the 'Classics' in this page, we should have the Dubai Classic, the Thailand Classic, the Asian Classic, and why not the Tolly Cobbold Classic as well... /Bellatrix9 (talk) 13:13, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox - location

[edit]

The infobox lists the location of the Classic as being Bournemouth. However this is only true of the final two tournaments (1991 and 1992). The first event was held in Manchester, the second in Bolton and third in Oldham. From 1983-1986 the competition was held in Warrington and from 1987-1990 it was held in Blackpool. I would suggest that the infobox should amended to show this or at least to indicate that it was held in various venues (especially since it was held more often in Blackpool and Warrington that it was in Bournemouth. We've seen a revival of this tournament now, with Selby winning the most recent edition 151.225.203.251 (talk) 12:07, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

At no point has anyone suggested that the 2023 WST Classic is a part of this lineage Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 13:18, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
