Question?
[edit]Is there anything else that can be included in this article?Joniscool98 19:41, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
- There is a striking similarity to portions of the Christmas Concerto (I think it's in the third movement, but not certain of that) to the main melody of Pachelbel's Kanon. It's repeated once or twice in this movement, then the melody veers off in a different direction. This raises the question: Who copied whom? My quick research suggests that Corelli may have copied Pachelbel, but it is by no means definitively correct. Have others ever commented upon this? 50.242.180.209 (talk) 20:09, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
Only the first two movements?!
[edit]The recordings that say they are of the first three movements sound like they are only of the first two. --96.242.74.172 (talk) 13:57, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
- I agree; there doesn't seem to be a file which contains the 3rd movement. I'm going to change the description. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 14:19, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
- Well-spotted. The place where I found these files, the Pandora Records archive, is full of mistakes like this. This is the fourth work with missing movements that I've encountered from that site. I wish that I could do something about it, but my attempts to contact the site's maintainer have been unsuccessful. Graham87 08:36, 15 November 2010 (UTC)
