Starting the Article
[edit]After reading Ballard's book "One Shot at Forever" I decided to start this article ... of course I was a bit surprised that an article did not already exist. My first attempt was rejected because Ballard was not considered "notable." Why the Wiki editor said that, I don't know. Guess s/he is not a sports fan. (As well, I suspect many of the editors suffer from the "not invented here" syndrome.) Ballard has written a number of very well received books, is a senior editor at Sports Illustrated and pops up on the radio and ESPN on a regular basis. In my book, that's very notable but then again, I'm a bit of a sports junkie. EdJF (talk) 19:40, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
