Child Psychopathology

[edit]

Assignment 9/12-I am a student participating in the Wikipedia Initiative for Psychology and was assigned to offer some suggestions on how to improve this page. I do suggest that more structure and fluidity be applied to this article. Wikipedia is designed to educate people of every education level. Therefore, simple and organized paragraphs would be more efficient. The diagnostic process discussing the DSM should be in its own paragraph, explaining how the DSM is used in regards to child psychological disorders. Irrelevant information is written under certain sections, such as the information under Treatment. A lot of that information could go into a paragraph discussing the differences in child psychopathology between genders. BKeehan001 (talk) 00:23, 13 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Addition to Research and Theories

[edit]

Parents are considered a reliable source of information because they spend more time with children than any other adult. A child's psychopathology can be connected to parental behaviors. Clinicians and researchers have experienced problems with children's self-reports and rely on adults to provide the information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ballerbj (talkcontribs) 01:18, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
