Alfred Macleod's Grandson

My name is Michael Paul... I carry my Fathers surname at present, although I am thinking of changing that to my Mothers Fathers surname, as it has more meaning for me. I am just discovering my lineage. My Grandad was Alfred Macleod. He was the youngest of two brothers. I grew up in Thornaby, England. Grandad was always there for us. There is a great story I have been told how he went to the second World War in place of his, married elder Brother who already had a Family. Oldest Son was called up first apparently. When his older Brother was eventually called up, as all the Men eventually where, he was captured in a week and spent the whole War in a prison camp.

I am living in Arbroath at present.
