German language terms

[edit]

Nice work. This article mostly uses umlauts where German words require those, but with the exception of Sturmbannfuhrer, which should be Sturmbannführer. I didn't want to correct this myself as there might be a reason for dropping the umlaut in this case. I'm not familiar with the use of the term "Volksdeutsche" in English, but if it is to be used as a German word, then it should be "Volksdeutscher", turning this from plural to the male singular form. Shortened footnotes

[edit]

Not a DYK issue by any means, but I noticed that your shortened footnote links (the 'Patrick Montague 2012' bit) don't work. The way I know this referencing system, the main reference sits in a different section (e.g. bibliography), and every instance of the footnote gets listed in the referencing section. If you want me to, I could have a go at changing it around that way and by doing so get the links to work. Schwede66 05:53, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Would you please fix it? I tried to provide different links to different pages in the book, but apparently the template isn't meant to do just that. I don't know how else to improve the formatting of those footnotes. Poeticbent talk 06:13, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There are two different ways to achieve this. One would be based on the way you've set it up already, or the other way is how I did this earlier today with the James Cowan reference in the Douglas Maclean article. Which method should we adopt? Schwede66 06:54, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, you did a great job expanding that article! Would you know please how to provide weblinks to individual pages in the same book – described in detail only once – in bibliography, but also featuring links to different pages separately every time when quoted? The thing is, individual pages are easily accessible in Google Books preview. Maybe using standard <ref></ref> would be more appropriate than using {{sfn}} in this case, I don't know. Please feel free to do whatever is needed. I'm in way over my head! Poeticbent talk 07:39, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Morning is the best advisor. Poeticbent talk 17:06, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good. Well done. Schwede66 19:27, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Chełmno trials. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
