No consensus to move. Vegaswikian (talk) 22:18, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
Charles van Commenee → Charles van Commenée – right name. Wikix (talk) 07:36, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
- Do you have any evidence that it is "right"? All the references in the article simply use Charles van Commenee. Jenks24 (talk) 11:33, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
- See the Dutch article (he is Dutch). Wikix (talk) 13:13, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not a reliable source (and even if it were, WP:AT strongly recommends using English sources). Jenks24 (talk) 13:33, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
- See: Nieuwsbank.nl. Wikix (talk) 13:45, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
- Not an English source. All English references in the article, including The Daily Telegraph, The Independent, Xinhua, the BBC, UK Athletics, The Guardian and The Times, spell his name without the "é", and I don't see any reason why we (Wikipedia) should go against the sources. Jenks24 (talk) 12:42, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- He is a Dutchman, so it is obvious that Dutch news media will spell his surname better than non-Dutch news media. Wikix (talk) 13:03, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- But we are the English Wikipedia and should follow the English sources (at least that's what is recommended at WP:AT). Jenks24 (talk) 13:41, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

Requested move 2
[edit]A lot of English-language media do write a capital if a first name is mentioned, i.e. "Robin Van Persie". Or no capital if only the last name is mentioned. That is also wrong and the same thing applies in this case. So could we, please, move this page to the right title? Kind regards - and thanks in advance, I hope.
