This does have a page in Catalan, but it is a dab page. One of them does seem to be a mountain, but if there are.two of them I or someone else should break out a map and reality check the link. Elinruby (talk) 22:37, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Although Catalan nan in a normal context does mean "dwarf" (see also ca:Nanisme), in this context it means those big-headed anthropomorphic figures you know about, so "dwarf" seems off as a translation here. It is listed at ca-wiki as ca:Cabuts, along withg half a dozen synonyms, including capgrossos (fat-heads). Since the concept doesn't really exist in English, we'd have to find what it's called in English sources when talking about the nans, or else leave it in the original Catalan.
Checking the links from this find sources search worded in English, I'd say that it looks like there is no clear choice among English sources. If that holds up under further examination, then keeping the original nans could be the best alternative. Mathglot (talk) 06:42, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
