History
[edit]This article skips one event of national note. During the satanic panic of the late 80's and early 90's, Carl Junction was one of the only towns that actually had an actual murder that aligned with those fears. It was extensively chronicled by the LA Times - https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1988-10-20-mn-5325-story.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.56.119.163 (talk) 15:04, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
Relation to Joplin, MO
[edit]Carl Junction is something akin to a suburb of Joplin, MO, which is approximately 8 miles away.
There's probably a better way of saying this. If there's a lot of commuter traffic between the two places, we should just say it's a suburb; if not, just state that it's 8 miles from Joplin. Miraculouschaos 01:18, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
