Requested move 28 August 2019
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: Moved to "Canal+ (Myanmar)". (non-admin closure) Cwmhiraeth (talk) 11:21, 11 October 2019 (UTC)
Canal+ Myanmar FG → ? – The current article title is the name of the service's Facebook page, with "FG" presumably being a short for "Forever Group". Since the service is simply known as "Canal+", this article's title should be changed to just Canal+ plus a suffix for disambiguation.
Note that a discussion about adding new suffix for multichannel TV providers is being held at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (broadcasting). If the new proposal is getting approved, then this article should be renamed Canal+ (Myanmese TV provider). - Comment: I agree with you but I think Canal+(Myanmar TV Channel) or Canal+ (Myanmar Provider) is better.Shin Khant (talk) 13:00, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
- "TV channel" wouldn't be apropriate, though. The service runs more than one in-house TV channels. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 17:13, 7 September 2019 (UTC)
- Support Canal+ (Myanmar), no need to complicate things. Neodop (talk) 20:51, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
- Comment: Since the discussion I mentioned above was concluded without any meaningful fruition, I won't oppose your idea for now. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 13:01, 6 October 2019 (UTC)

List of channels available
[edit]I removed the list of channels available there. It's against WP:NOTDIR, and similar lists of channels available on a multichannel service have been discouraged after following discussions, all citing that rule.
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of AT&T U-verse channels
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of DirecTV channels (2nd nomination)
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of channels on Sky
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/3rd bundle of channel lineups
I believe the Burmese Wikipedia has a rule equivalent to the English Wikipedia's WP:NOTDIR at my:Wikipedia:ဝီကီပီးဒီးယားက ဘာမဟုတ်ဘူးလဲ#ဝီကီပီးဒီးယားသည် လမ်းညွှန်တစ်ခု မဟုတ်ပါ.
By the way, I think the list of in-house channels (like Canal+ Gita or Canal+ Sports) can stay in this article, although I don't know why are the channels' ambassadors (or promoting models) so important to be listed there. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 09:31, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
